Rheged is part of the Westmorland Family, a growing group of motorway service areas with a difference, which grew from the Dunning family farm in Cumbria, when the M6 was built through our land.

Rheged is a gallery, café, cinema, shopping venue, workplace and creative space on the edge of the Northern Lakes, housed under a grass roof.

Whether you’re looking for a job in retail, catering, meetings and events or just want to be part of the support network behind the scenes keeping the place looking great there’s something for everyone.

We are passionate about local produce and want to showcase the best of what our area has to offer by supporting other local businesses too.

We aim to be a hub for both locals and tourists looking for something a little bit different to fill their time or even just popping in for something great to eat.

Lots of people know us for our cinema, shops and café but we also host changing art exhibitions in our gallery, craft classes, business meetings and events - often playing host to famous faces.

Rheged is home to the Westmorland Kitchen which has a dedicated team of people working away in the background to provide all the home cooked food for our motorway service areas.
