About The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and grow our filling station business across Tebay, Gloucester, Rheged, J38, Cairn Lodge and our new site at Tatton in Manchester.

You’ll shape the future direction of the operation, taking ownership of the product range and customer offer across food to go, drinks, snacks, convenience and car-care lines. You’ll also play a key role in creating the Tatton filling station and drive-thru offer from initial concept through to launch.

Combining commercial insight with hands-on operational leadership, you’ll manage supplier relationships, pricing, promotions, sales, margin, waste and stock. Working closely with site teams, you’ll ensure each filling station is well planned, presented and tailored to its location, while monitoring market trends and identifying opportunities for growth.

We’re looking for someone with strong commercial judgement, a genuine enthusiasm for good food and the ability to bring people together to deliver an excellent customer experience

We are looking for this role to based at either our Family Office in Rheged, Penrith, Cumbria, or at our Tatton site, just outside of Manchester. The role will also require frequent travel to our other sites in Tebay, Gloucester, Cairn Lodge (Scotland) and will therefore be eligible for an additional £7,000 per annum car allowance.
About You
You will need to have a track record of building or significantly developing a product range from concept through to launch. You will need a strong commercial acumen and the confidence to own pricing, margin and category P&L with experience of managing supplier relationships and negotiating terms, alongside excellent organisational skills to manage several sites with different layouts and needs.

Ideally, you will also have experience in multi-site retail or food-to-go operations, particularly within forecourt, travel retail or convenience formats, as well as opening a new site or launching a new format from scratch.

A genuine passion for food, a good eye for a strong food-to-go offer, and experience of developing and supporting teams without formal line-management responsibility would also be advantageous.
