About The Role

You will be responsible for leading a smooth and efficient catering operation that covers our main kitchen and café. Passionate about our cause you will know our food and business inside out and deliver operational goals, excellent standards and behaviours in line with our values to ensure we attain the highest levels of service and memorable moments for our customers.

Your responsibilities will be as follows:
 
  1. Through coaching and presence in the department you will work through the Service Leaders to ensure your team are consistently delivering brilliant customer service, food quality, day to day standards and availability

  2. Lead your team to maintain a clean, tidy and safe environment. You are responsible to ensure accurate and completion of all statutory and company paperwork including compliance in Health & Safety, Food Hygiene; COSHH controls taking corrective action where necessary

  3. Identify the root cause of issues promptly ensuring you work to continuously improve, and impress, you will work with appropriate parties to address matters and escalate when needed to ensure minimal interference with trade and customer experience

  4. Support the stock controller to ensure adequate stock levels and assist with stock taking and wastage levels

  5. Share your expertise to ensure your team develop excellence in cash-handling, you are responsible for following correct procedures and taking appropriate actions if shortages are identified

  6. Work with the Catering Manager to drive sales growth without compromising quality or margins. Know your numbers and consider all catering-related costs in line with Company targets

  7. Assist the Catering Manager with rota planning including scheduling, recruitment, absence and holiday management to meet customer needs, as well as reporting any issues on hours or budgets to the Operations Manager.

  8. Support the Service Leaders with delivery of the learning journey and any training, including new products or processes and engagement reviews. Ensure all are completed, and recorded in a timely manner

About You

  • Candidates must have 

  • Level 2 Food Safety
  • Experience of working in a high volume catering operation
  • Experience of financial controls within a kitchen operation including sales, stock management, wastage controls
  • Experience of successfully recruiting, inducting and developing team
