A family business, started in 1972 from our farm in Cumbria, which runs unique motorway service areas – Tebay on the M6, Gloucester on the M5 and Cairn Lodge on the M74 – we don’t run franchises but instead our own Farmshops and Kitchens. We also have Junction 38, a service’s dedicated to HGV drivers, Rheged, a meeting place, Cafe, Gallery and Cinema, and the Westmorland Hotel situated on the edge of the Lake District.
The Station Manager is a hands on operational role that will lead the delivery of great quality food and service front of house in a station, supported by Service Leaders
- Obsessive with delighting customers with our service, the Station Manager will lead their team from the front, coaching and giving feedback to improve performance
- Build a strong team of service leaders who lead the food quality, customer service and standards on every shift
- Ensure we deliver food quality according to the specs and recipes as defined by the food team
- Ensure your team deliver warm, friendly, and speedy service to our customers by doing regular house visits
- Ensure you recruit and develop a team who align and deliver our values of warmth, graft and courage
- Deliver strong cleanliness and food and health and safety standards by doing regular house proud audits and setting goals and action plans for your team
- Ensure commercial success by looking after the sales, cash and stock for your station
- Ensure you up to date and accurate information for your team in My Westmorland People so that you can roster, approve holidays and pay colleagues on time and accurately
- Coaching your colleague trainer nsure all of your team are 100% trained both on the job and following the pathways on my Westmorland learn and are regularly logging onto the system so that they are informed about what is going on in the business (at least once a week)
- Follow people and employment law practices as defined by the business
- Complete check ins so your team know how they are performing and what to focus on next
